Reservations & Check-In

What is your cancellation policy?

Reservations may be canceled or modified up to 48 hours before arrival by 4:00 PM local time without penalty. Some packages, special events, and holiday reservations require cancellation at least 7 days in advance.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Early check-in or late check-out is not guaranteed, but may be requested by contacting the front desk at (740) 788-1200.

How old do I need to be to reserve a room?

Guests must be at least 18 years old to reserve and check in to a room.

If I booked through a third-party site, how do I modify my reservation?

Please contact the customer service team of the third-party booking platform to make any changes or cancellations.

Do you require a deposit or incidental hold?

A valid credit card is required at check-in. A $100 authorization hold is placed for incidentals and is released at checkout. Processing times may vary by bank.

What are the check-in/checkout times?

Check-in is at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Cash is not accepted. A valid credit card is required at check-in for payment and incidentals.

Do you offer connecting rooms?

Yes. Connecting rooms are available upon request but cannot be guaranteed. Requests are accommodated based on availability at check-in.

Do you offer a military discount?

We’re proud to honor those who serve with 10% off our best available rate for active-duty military, veterans, and their families. This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions.

Do you offer group or wedding room blocks?

Yes. Reservations of 10 or more rooms are considered a group booking and may qualify for a group rate, including wedding room blocks. Contact our Sales team at (740) 788-1200 or submit an RFP form on our Meetings & Events page.

What is your dog policy?

Well-behaved, potty-trained dogs under 50 pounds are permitted in designated dog-friendly rooms for a $75 cleaning fee per five days. Dogs are not allowed in food and beverage areas, the pool, fitness center, ballrooms, lobby, or courtyards. Dog-friendly rooms are on the lower level facing the lawn side. Service animals are exempt from the fee and restrictions.

Are there refrigerators in every room?

Yes. Every room includes a mini refrigerator.

Do you offer accessible rooms?

Yes. We offer rooms with features like wheelchair-friendly layouts, roll-in showers, and grab bars. Service animals are always welcome.

Housekeeping is provided every three days. Guests may call the front desk to request daily service.

Cherry Valley Hotel is located between Newark and Granville, Ohio, just off State Route 16 at the Thornwood Crossing exit.

Yes. Cherry Valley Hotel is about 10 minutes from Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

Is Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel?

Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Do you offer transportation from the hotel?

At this time, we do not offer transportation. There are several options if you need a ride to the hotel, from the airport or elsewhere, that our front desk would be happy to assist you with.

Do non-guests have access to the pool or fitness center?

No. The pool and fitness center are reserved for registered guests only.

Do you have a pool?

Yes. The indoor heated pool is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

We do not have a full-service spa, but we can recommend nearby spa providers and wellness services upon request.

Do you have EV charging stations?

No. EV charging stations are not currently available on-site.

Is parking available at the hotel?

Yes. Complimentary self-parking is provided for all guests.

No. We do not provide laundry service or guest laundry facilities.

Do you have vending or ice machines?

Ice machines are located throughout the hotel, and additional ice is available at the front desk. Vending options are available in the lobby market.

Is breakfast included with my stay?

Breakfast is served daily at Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. It is not included in all rates, but can be added with our Bed & Breakfast package for $5 per person.

Do you serve brunch or lunch?

Yes. Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace offers weekend brunch and no regular lunch service except through Crafted Carryout. Crafted Carryout is our convenient takeout option that allows guests to order freshly prepared meals from Craftsman Kitchen & Terrace, then pick them up to enjoy in their room, on the terrace, or anywhere around the hotel. Is your restaurant open to the public?
